When we founded Good Goût, the husband of my business partner (based in Lille) was already a Réseau Entreprendre North laureate. He told us how the association had helped him set up his business, so we had no hesitations about contacting it.
One thing I was certain of was that I was making a “great leap into the unknown” by launching this business.
With my previous experience in consulting, I was well aware that you can’t know everything and you have to know how to surround yourself with the right people. I did not change this approach. At Good Gout, what I know best is our customers and their expectations. When it comes to other issues, we use experts, like those at Réseau Entreprendre!
Every project, every story, every entrepreneur is unique, so I don’t like to dispense too much general advice. Nonetheless, you need to keep in mind a central thread: surround yourself with people, knock on doors. Entrepreneurs have open doors. Business heads like to share their experience. “At Réseau Entreprendre, this entrepreneurial solidarity is strong. Take advantage of it!
Two things: First, what we do is very important in helping to educate thousands of children by developing their palates. Secondly, our modest success at Good Goût has created 21 jobs… and that’s only the start!
